General Information

Medium

Compressed air, nitrogen and water could be filled in the airspring. If water is filled inside, the antirust coat should be added to protect the cover.

Two characteristics of the airsprings filled with liquid are as follows:

  1. Reduces the volume of air inside the airspring; hence the natural frequency of airspring is increased.
  2. Because water is an incompressible medium, accurate positioning can be realized.

Temperature

The operating temperature range of our standard industrial airsprings is: -40℃~+80℃.

Pressure

  1. According to our experience, the maximum working pressure of standard airspring is 0.7 Mpa.
  2. The maximum pressure of high strength airspring (with 4 layers of skeleton) is 1.25 Mpa.

Our recommended safety factor between the maximum internal air pressure and the fracture pressure is 2.5. Therefore, for an example, if 0.7 Mpa pressure is needed, the fracture pressure should be 1.75 Mpa or more. The fracture pressure of convolution bellows type airsprings decreases along with an increase in height. Hence, there are two decisive factors: maximum extension height and internal pressure. At this point, for the functional relationship between pressure and height, please refer to Inflation Pressure Chart. Appendix figure 2 (P14) (applicable to single, double and three convolution bellows type airsprings).

Instructions for airspring storage and transportation

  1. Rough operation is prohibited in the process of transportation, loading and unloading.
  2. Airsprings should be kept in a dry and ventilated storehouse to avoid direct sunlight.
  3. There should be abundant space at the installation site, contact with oils, acid or alkali substances and sharp-pointed objects should be avoided.
  4. Avoid touching airsprings with sharp-pointed tools, the matching parts should be smooth without arris.
